These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of https://screendetect.com (the “Site”) and related free browser tools and paid guided remote consumer services offered under the ScreenDetect brand.

The Site is operated by Valiance Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), doing business as ScreenDetect. ScreenDetect is not a separate LLC. Contact: hello@valiancelabs.com. Principal place of business: Wisconsin, United States.

By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to request paid services.

What the Site provides

Free browser-based screen tests, limited repair or calibration tools, and editorial guidance about displays, damage, devices, and buying decisions.
Optional paid U.S. guided remote consumer services for personal phones, tablets, and computers, described on /services and individual service pages.

The Site is not a physical repair shop, managed service provider, unlimited help desk, cybersecurity consultancy, warranty adjudicator, or device insurance company. Browser tools do not replace professional hardware diagnosis or repair.

No accounts for free tools

Free screen tests and repair tools do not require account creation, uploads of screen images or videos, or webcam access for automated analysis. You run patterns in your browser and interpret what you see. Do not rely on any statement elsewhere that describes accounts, subscriptions, or AI upload analysis for those free tools — those features are not part of the current product.

Informational nature of free tools and guides

Tests, repair tools, device profiles, and guides are informational. Results can be affected by lighting, settings, browser limitations, and device condition. We do not guarantee that a test will detect every defect, that a repair tool will fix any issue, or that following guidance will produce a particular warranty, return, or repair outcome.

Stuck Pixel Fixer and similar tools

Some tools use rapid color changes or bright patterns. They may trigger seizures or discomfort in people with photosensitive epilepsy or light sensitivity. Do not use them if you have epilepsy, a history of seizures, or related risk factors, and follow on-tool safety warnings. Results are not guaranteed. Dead pixels and many hardware failures cannot be fixed by software patterns.

Guided remote consumer services

Paid services are scoped engagements described on the applicable service page. You operate your devices; we provide remote guidance. You must have lawful access and authorization for any device or account involved. Employer-managed devices may be declined without proper authorization.

Do not send passwords or credentials in forms or email.
Payment is due only after we confirm apparent fit, on the terms stated for that package.
We may refuse, pause, or end a session that is unsafe, out of scope, or missing required access.
Physical repair, data forensics, password recovery, and security bypassing are not included.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape at abusive volumes, upload malware, or use the Site for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual property

Site content, branding, and software are owned by Valiance Labs LLC or its licensors. You receive a limited license to use the Site for personal or internal business evaluation consistent with these Terms.

Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL TOOLS, GUIDANCE, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VALIANCE LABS LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR DEVICE FUNCTION, ARISING FROM USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE OR A SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
