About Jacob
I'm Jacob Dymond, a software engineer and founder of ScreenDetect. I created the site through Valiance Labs to make screen problems easier to check, explain, and document before someone commits to a repair, replacement, or warranty conversation.
My background is in software engineering and web development, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. At ScreenDetect, I apply that background to browser-native diagnostic tools, device research, and practical display guidance.
ScreenDetect content is intentionally conservative. Browser tests help people observe and document what they see; they do not pretend to replace controlled laboratory measurements or prove a warranty claim.
