How guided setup works

You operate the device. We guide the important decisions.

Tell us what you need set up, and we confirm whether the request fits before payment. During the session, you tap, click, approve, and enter credentials on your own device. If something is failing unexpectedly, we route it to Device Troubleshooting instead.

    We review the situation and confirm the eligible device setup before requesting payment.

    Work through the session together, check the important functions, and receive a written summary.

Scope and privacy

A defined setup service with clear boundaries

Device Setup is for planned configuration of an eligible personal device for daily use. It is not a substitute for data migration, repair, recovery, unexpected problem-solving, or unlimited technical support.

What a guided setup can include

  • One eligible personal device, configured around the everyday tasks that matter to you.
  • Guidance while you operate the device and enter every password, PIN, or recovery code yourself.
  • A fixed price, clear limits before payment, and a written summary after the session.

When another service should come first

  • Data migration, backups, and restores before setup; those belong to Backup & Transfer.
  • Unexpected failures, errors, or features that are not working as expected; those may belong to Device Troubleshooting.
  • Physical repair, hardware failure, recovery, security bypassing, malware work, or unresolved account ownership.
  • Employer-managed devices, open-ended technical support, carrier-plan decisions, or advanced business IT work.
