These are the usual starting points. You do not need to identify the technical cause before you ask for help.
The device is new, reset, or a replacement and needs configuring
Device SetupSomething that used to work now does not
Device TroubleshootingYou need to protect or move data
Backup & TransferStorage is full or photos and files are hard to manage
Photo & Storage CleanupHome Wi-Fi, a printer, or a connected device will not connect
Home ConnectivityYou want to learn a device, app, or everyday digital task
Personal Tech HelpThe device is physically damaged, will not turn on, or needs recovery
A different kind of help
Backup & Transfer normally comes first. Device Setup can make the replacement ready to use after the move.
Choose Setup when configuration was never completed. Choose Troubleshooting when an established setup stopped working.
Choose Cleanup for safe space recovery. Troubleshooting fits only one bounded existing settings behavior.

Remote, with you in control
A guided session is not unattended remote control or an unlimited help desk. It is a defined service completed together while you remain in control of the device.
Step 1
Tell us what you need help with and which personal device is involved.
Step 2
We check eligibility and session conditions before payment.
Step 3
You operate the device while we guide the appropriate steps remotely.
Step 4
We verify the intended outcome where possible or document the likely cause and safe next step.
Privacy and control
ScreenDetect guides the work. You keep physical possession of the device, make each change, and enter passwords, PINs, recovery codes, verification codes, and approvals yourself.
You tap, click, approve, and decide. The service does not rely on unattended access.
Do not send passwords or codes. You enter them yourself whenever they are needed.
For phone and tablet sessions, a second device can help you stay connected while sharing the affected screen.
Booking for someone else
You can coordinate or pay for an eligible session. The person using the device remains present, operates it, enters credentials, and decides whether a written handoff is shared with you.
Clear boundaries
These services are designed for eligible personal-device jobs that can be guided remotely. We make the boundary clear before payment whenever possible.
We explain the reason before payment whenever possible. If the issue belongs to another ScreenDetect family, we route you there. If it needs repair, recovery, a carrier, an account provider, or authorized IT, we identify the safest next step we can.
Browse free damage guidanceBefore you choose
These answers apply across ScreenDetect’s service families. Each family and device page has the detailed scope and eligibility for that job.
Choose Setup for a new or reset device, Troubleshooting when an existing function stopped working, Home Connectivity for home Wi-Fi or printer problems, Backup & Transfer when data needs to move or be protected, Cleanup when photos, files, or storage need safe customer-approved attention, and Personal Tech Help when you want to learn a specific topic or work through several everyday technology questions.
After we confirm the request fits, we meet remotely by phone, video, or screen sharing where appropriate. You keep the device with you and carry out the steps while we guide you.
No. You enter passwords, PINs, recovery codes, verification codes, and approvals yourself. Do not submit credentials in the request form.
You submit the situation first. ScreenDetect reviews whether the request and session conditions fit the selected service, then requests payment only after the session is confirmed.
Yes. You can coordinate or pay for an eligible session. The person using the device should remain present, operate it, enter credentials, and authorize any summary shared with you.
We explain the boundary before payment whenever possible and point you toward the safest appropriate next step.
No. These guided remote services do not repair cracked screens, failed hardware, liquid damage, no-power devices, or other physical faults.
A second phone, tablet, or computer can be useful when the affected phone or tablet needs to share its screen while you stay connected to the session. We confirm readiness before payment.
