Backup & Transfer protects or moves existing personal data. It is not device repair, deleted-data recovery, password recovery, or a promise that every app and setting will transfer.

What a guided session can include

  • Supported backups, device-to-device transfers, restores, and selected moves to accessible cloud or external storage.
  • Guidance through important choices while you operate the devices and enter every credential yourself.

When another service should come first
