Wall adapter for charging at home
A wall adapter is the block that plugs into the outlet. Pair it with the correct cable for your iPhone.

A rugged model can add protection from dust and water, but that protection belongs to the power bank itself. What do the watt numbers mean in everyday use?
Wattage describes how much power an adapter can provide. It does not mean your iPhone will automatically receive that amount. The phone and adapter negotiate an appropriate level, and the phone can take less than the adapter's maximum.

- Around 20W to 30W is usually enough for one iPhone.

Apple sells a two-meter USB-C cable for charging and data. Its 240W rating does not mean an iPhone needs 240W. It describes the cable's maximum capability, not the phone's charging requirement.

Start with the setup rather than assuming the phone is damaged.
Check that:
- The adapter is connected directly to the outlet.
- The cable fits securely and is the right type for the phone.
- Another device is not using the adapter's available output.
- The phone is not unusually hot or sitting in direct sunlight.
- You are not relying on a low-output car port, computer port, or hub.
Apple documents Slow Charger and Incompatible Charger notices in newer iOS versions. Heat can also slow or pause charging until the phone returns to a normal temperature. Treat these as clues about the setup, not as a complete diagnosis of the phone.
If the same problem appears with a known-compatible adapter and cable, inspect the charging port instead of simply buying a more powerful charger.
