How ScreenDetect for Business handles authority, credentials, remote sessions, and documentation for company device projects.

  • No password retention
  • Defined deliverables

Requirements before work begins

A practical checklist for the internal owner authorizing the engagement.

Pre-engagement checklist

For your internal owner

  • Named company contact

Someone with authority to approve the engagement.

  • Written authorization

Approval before account changes, access removal, or reassignment.

  • Designated administrator

Workspace, Microsoft 365, or other systems included in the work.

  • Credentials remain with your organization

Your side enters passwords and MFA—never emailed to us.

  • Agreed systems only

Systems outside the agreed work are left alone unless newly authorized.

  • Exceptions documented

Remaining items are written down rather than left undocumented.

Work starts with company authority

Business engagements can involve employee accounts, admin consoles, and departure workflows. That requires a clear internal owner and written approval.

  • A named company contact with authority to approve the engagement before work starts.
  • Written authorization for account changes, access removal, local profile removal, and device reassignment.
  • A designated administrator for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or other systems included in the work.
  • Offboarding and other irreversible actions require explicit approval—not implied consent from a calendar invite.

Your organization enters every password

Remote guidance does not mean ScreenDetect takes custody of login secrets.

  • Company contacts and employees enter passwords and MFA challenges themselves.
  • ScreenDetect does not ask to retain passwords, recovery codes, or shared secrets.
  • Do not put credentials in email, chat, or consultation forms.
  • If a system cannot be accessed without sharing a password to ScreenDetect, that step is deferred until a safer method is available.

What is collected and what is delivered

The product of a business engagement is operational documentation and completed transition steps—not a standing store of passwords.

  • Remote sessions are used for guidance and coordination while your team operates devices and admin consoles.
  • Deliverables are completion reports, inventories, checklists, and other agreed documentation sent to the company contact.
  • Only systems listed in the authorized work are handled. Exceptions are documented instead of silently expanded.
  • Physical custody of devices stays with the company or employee. Retrieval partners, when used, are separate and disclosed.
