Pixel 11 is the base Google Pixel 11 model. The U.S. 5G mmWave model is GPQQ7. Its 6.3-inch Actua OLED display uses a 20:9 aspect ratio, 1080 x 2424 resolution, and 422 PPI. Smooth Display runs 60–120Hz, with HDR support, full 24-bit color, and a contrast ratio greater than 2,000,000:1.

Brightness is rated up to 2000 nits in HDR and up to 3000 nits peak. The peak figure uses a 5% on-pixel ratio. Cover glass is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

What you will notice in actual use

In ordinary use, Pixel 11 is a sharp OLED phone for reading, navigation, photography, and video. Adaptive refresh can make compatible scrolling feel smoother, and the brightness ratings point to solid outdoor potential when the content and lighting cooperate.

Peak brightness uses a small lit area, PWM comfort depends on the person, and touch sampling or input-lag figures are not published for gaming comparisons.

Daily viewing and image quality

422 PPI is well suited to small phone text and detailed images. Because the panel is OLED, individual pixels can switch off for deep blacks and strong dark-scene contrast. It supports HDR and 24-bit color. Specific formats such as HDR10 or Dolby Vision are not named, so check your streaming apps if that matters to you.

Outdoor visibility and brightness

Pixel 11 can get very bright outdoors, but the published figures describe different conditions. Rated peak is 3000 nits at a 5% on-pixel ratio, with up to 2000 nits in HDR, so the peak is not a sustained full-screen sunlight rating.

Tom’s Guide measured 2480 nits peak. Expert Reviews measured 1300 cd/m² in manual mode, 1447 cd/m² with adaptive brightness while shining a torch on the display, and 1869 cd/m² with HDR content. Those are different tests, not one outdoor score.

In practice: expect strong readability for bright content in sun, and expect the result to change with the scene, ambient light, and automatic brightness.

Motion and scrolling

Smooth Display spans 60–120Hz. When the system and content use the higher end of that range, scrolling and interface movement can look smoother than on a fixed 60Hz screen. Not every app, game, or video will run at 120Hz.

PWM comfort and touch response

Reviews put Pixel 11 PWM around 240Hz. If flicker bothers you, that figure matters, and comfort still depends on brightness level, so try the phone at the levels you normally use.

Touch sampling rate, response time, and input latency are not published. If missed touches are the issue, run a Touch Screen Test to see whether the problem repeats in the same area.

Pixels, tint, color, and lingering images

If one dot stays bright or dark, inspect it with Pixel Test. For tint, banding, or uneven color, Screen Color Test gives a visual comparison across solid colors. On OLED, a lingering static image is worth checking with Burn-in Test. A check shows whether the symptom repeats; it does not replace a repair diagnosis.
